"Lao Mu" and "Chun Meng Sheng"
2017-2012 "Three Years of Retreat"
From 2012 to 2017, "Old Wood" conducted a special experiment in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, China's porcelain capital. He developed his own method based on the Buddhist "retreat" method.
The project has lasted for seven years, and it is a phased report exhibition of conceptual art experiments related to Jingdezhen folk handicrafts, ceramics, and landscape people. This is a conceptual art project, and the experimental investigation is presented in stages. The plan in development is not the final result.
No one can say exactly who created whom. Three and three months ago, on the morning of June 4th, Lao Mu gave birth to Meng Chunsheng in his dream, and they have lived together inseparably since that day. the
Human beings have struggled for tens of thousands of years on the road of self-knowledge. The Creator has nurtured and cared for all living forms with "love", and all things are endlessly interdependent. It is said that if a person's life span does not encounter any obstacles, it will be a hundred years old. Each year is 360 days (taking the middle number between the solar year and the lunar year), so a person's life is 36,000 days. Since wisdom energy accounts for 1/32, the total amount of wisdom energy is 1,145 days, which is three years and 45 days. The Indian algorithm is 15 days per month (bocha), so the total amount of wisdom energy is three years and three months. the
In order to experience and find the "wisdom" of this human being, Lao Mu risked his life and burned "Meng Chunsheng" with lust for three years, and finally became mad, and was sent to the emergency center by 120 for the second time. As a result, Lao Mu created "Meng Chunsheng". "Meng Chunsheng" killed Lao Mu.
"experiment" and "test"
2017-2012 Foreword / Preface
The semantic difference between "experiment" and "test" is probably that one is experiment and the other is test. "Old Wood" and "Meng Chunsheng" are an accidental "experiment" art project that took place seven years ago. Why "accidentally"? It is based on the context and background of traditional Chinese folk culture. So it's the traditional "test" again. The mask is "Meng Chunsheng" behind "Old Wood". It may also be the weakness of human nature or the side that most needs to be protected.
Why sculpture? Beuys once said: It is my responsibility as well as the responsibility of art to shape society like sculpture. And what "Lao Mu" wants to carve is the soul of "Chun Meng Sheng". the
Making love and making love are two different things, just like the relationship between day and night. If Meng has an essence, Meng Chunsheng realizes that he is really a passive dream maker. the
The teacher asks, "Do you have the master in your sleep?" The question is: "You are the master", and the master asks again: "Where is the protagonist when there is no dream and no thought?" Can't answer. Because emptiness is inseparable from appearance, and it is inseparable from appearance, so the alaya will appear in the bright dharma nature of the opera, the alaya will produce the alaya consciousness, and the alaya consciousness will produce consciousness at will. At this time Consciousness runs in the lifeblood, thus various dreams appear. the
"Zhuangzi" says that "the perfect man has no dreams". The fascinating relationship between dreams and Meng Chunsheng is actually a question of intelligence and concentration. Gravity is an interaction between objects because they have mass. Its size is related to the mass of the object and the distance between the two objects. The greater the mass of objects, the greater the gravitational force between them; the farther the distance between objects, the smaller the gravitational force between them. All theories are not as sharp as the scalpel of time. Seven years is an itchy skin. Three years of precepts is scratching an itch. The result doesn't matter. The process is a mutual test between "Lao Mu" and "Chun Meng Sheng".

I am Chun Mengtian and Chun Mengsheng’s brother. When we were born, we were conjoined twins. We cried and cried every day and asked our grandma to drink. Until one day we said we were going to watch the sunrise. We ran hard and ended up going to the east. The other went to the west. Later, Mengtian discovered that there was no light in the world. And Mengsheng discovered that everything was chaotic. Since then, the brothers have never seen each other again. Until one day...

rice paper and porcelain plates have similar souls. The ancient Chinese experienced the relationship between heaven and earth and nature when making this material. Water is the medium, yin and fire are yang, and the two are combined in a special way to complete the human life experience.
